What we make
NZ Learner combines an Android study app with free learner guides. The app is in testing on Google Play and contains topic practice, mock exams, explanations, road scenarios and eleven study languages. The website is open to read without creating an account.
NZ Learner is an independent study app. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) or the New Zealand Government.
Our editorial approach
Guides are published under NZ Learner. We distinguish original study suggestions from road rules and link factual licensing guidance to NZTA or Drive. We show update dates, keep existing article URLs and correct known errors rather than presenting old advice as current.
These guides are not independently accredited instruction or legal advice. They do not replace the official Road Code, your licensing agent or supervised driving. No pass guarantee, invented review score or official endorsement is offered.
Questions and translations
The app's 400-question bank (questions from drivingtests.co.nz learning material plus original questions written from official NZTA and Police pages) is not claimed to be the complete official NZTA examination bank. Question and image credits are available in Terms & app information. Public availability does not mean material is in the public domain.
All eleven app languages cover the interface, questions, answers and explanations. They are study aids. Translations have not yet been independently reviewed by native speakers. If a translation seems unclear, check the English wording and let us know.
Corrections and contact
Found a confusing explanation or an outdated link? Use support and include the page address and the detail you want checked. Please do not send passwords, purchase tokens or identity documents.
Official resources come first
For current rules, licence conditions, fees and test arrangements, follow the official resources directory. We do not take test bookings, issue licences or process official licence fees.
